Spring.....

the wisteria is blooming and my Hummingbirds are back... Watching closely everyday for my peonies to  bloom so I can bring them in and place them on my bedside table.. I just love this time of year.. Everything is getting ready to start again.. We all can't wait to go and stay outside..although the rainy week hasn't helped us on that front..Hoping for some sunny skies this weekend..

In the meantime... I have been planning my garden and flower containers...

Grace has been falling in love with Ruben

who is for lease....but we are waiting for that money tree to sprout in order to make that happen.....

And I have been editing Laura's lovely wedding

and redecorating the ultra cool 1980"s camper that was given to us for free.... We are so excited to give it a whirl.. Pics on that are to come!

and looking forward to the Ramble this Sunday with the girls... Should be super fun with great weather.

Shoulder is hanging on... so all is well... I got these nifty new headphones by Sony. I personally would give them 5 stars.. not sure why there is a 3.5 rating on these babies... no slipping.. and after my St. Patty's 5k loss of my Bose earbud which leaves the earphones useless until you replace them.. well I was cursing the whole last mile with no tunes and swore I was going to get new ones that would NOT MOVE!!!!! so I did.. and I am happy.... 

SO my little man was trying to fill his daddy's shoes today

and mulch season is cranking.... welcome spring!

Another Day, another Dr.'s appointment

I am trying desperately not to freak out more than usual..Due to this stupid fall I have been to the Dr.'s more this year than the past 3 yrs...  Now that the swelling has gone down in my shoulder and the bruising has ceased... A new problem has risen. My shoulder muscle is split, with a dent and hard bone sticking out. Dr.'s at 2:30... I need so fingers xxx, I so want to get better and back to my running self... this is really a major pain in my ( i would say ass) but shoulder is more appropriate...

and the Martha Stewart comes out in me during springtime... so I thought I would share my sheet containment method.. With four beds, it is hard to keep all the sheet sets together. When I fold a set, i fold the fitted sheet first, place the folded  flat sheet on top, fold one pillow case and place that on top and take the other pillowcase and put all the other ones in it.. Shazzzaaammmmmm...... sheet containment..

I am a lame blogger.. i know.....

what have i been up to you ask??? I ran the NB 1/2 marathon and beat my Salem time.. Go Chrissy.... Then I tumbled down my friend's stairs and injured myself pretty badly... still on a limited running schedule.. which sucks....  SO I've been welcoming spring....

with my new Frog Prince.. and a new patio cafe set for the redone patio.....

i secretly want to put christmas lights in my garden and drink wine out here.. Bill hates christmas lights so .... that's not happening....

I've been loving my brand new laptop.. it is so liberating to walk outside and facebook... I mean really,,, what's better than that...

I've also been nose deep in editing Cara's gorgeous Providence wedding pictures....

Can't forget Kyle ( the groom ) too......

and so excited that my King is back...... for season three.....

and that my Rock of love choice of the season WON last night....... 

Maybe they'll get married and I can photograph their wedding..............

I faithfully log on to my computer every morning with coffee in hand. I so look forward to my favorite bloggers and am anxiously waiting to peer into another day of their lives. Of all the mornings  that I log on, I have yet to post one comment. I just enjoy being a peeping Harriet. Which brings me to the fact that I was becoming a lame blogger because I thought no one was reading about my lame life.  BUT, you have all made me think otherwise when I've seen my stats. You ARE out there and find some sort of amusement in my world... So I will continue to try and blog more to make my invisible  friends happy.
I must be honest with you. There is not much to blog about from day to day..  I apologize in advance....
So i will discuss my recent home renovations... HGTV would be proud...Coming straight from CANADA is this print which I am going to hang somewhere in our bedroom. I think that Bill most definitely will protest because it's quite girly, but he"ll get over it. The link brings you to a greeting card version of the print. I think the print version is sold out. Her photography is amazing. I am trying to add more art to my home. I have a million photos that I have taken... I would like to broaden my horizons a bit... So I bought someone elses "photo" I know.... "way to step out of that box Chrissy".....
I spent 3 hours sorting and organizing Will's room making room for that "big boy bed"... So if anyone is looking for a Thomas The Tank Engine Toddler Bed.. I am your girl.... I picked up an ultra cool vintage airplane comforter and  I bought this  to replace his  bedroom light. It looks really cool and serves as a night light. ANYTHING to keep this boy out of my bed is worth it.  I am desperate people! .....

First Knitted Project

Let me tell you.. It took me forever and a day to even grasp how to hold the knitting needles, nevermind knit something.. I made this fun scarf.
My cousin Tammy thinks it is extra fashion forward.. I was pleased with that compliment until I quickly realized she was kidding me..
The hearts are placed precisely  where I have mistakes  .. See I can be extra creative at times.
Speaking of.. I signed up for this .. I am looking forward to a bunch of fun funky creative projects.
I am also going to paint my bedroom. I will post before and after shots.. January- March are my nesting months. It's all about HOME ..  Spring is all about the business and the garden,Summer is all about the  beach, and fall is all about getting ready for the dizzying holidays to come...
So I purchased this cute bird dish.. Wasn't sure what to do with  it, so I put all my glues in it.. It's almost like the birds are looking at each other saying " what's up with this?? why is there glue in our bird food dish" ....  Well, here is to a creative week.. I may start knitting a scarf for Tammy seeing that she loved mine so much..... :D ....

Bookshelf Arriving

Okay, so I nixed the idea of a $349.00 chair from Ikea. Although I saw a stellar one at Homegoods for $249.00... That still costs money... I'm looking for one that says "FREE" .. that is pretty much my price range right now... ANYHOW I bought thisbookshelf.. which I am going to put in my hallway downstairs. It arrives today and I couldn't be happier!... As for my knitting... I am three rows and 6 hours on my way to making a scarf. It should be done in August. I'll keep you updated!

since I am sitting here....

trying to get over a serious sinus infection and walking pneumonia.. I will tell you what is on my mind...
I have been reorganizing every room in my house ( in my mind of course) and virtually spending lots of money which I don't have... So all of these thought are basically a waste of time. Never the less, I have some good basic plans....
I really want to try doing This... I want to make a scarf someday..I know what you are thinking " just go to Khol's and get a damn scarf" .. I hear you there, but what's more fun than a frustrating craft project to take up all your free time? I also want to make one of these I have no idea why this chick has that creepy doll, but she seems to know what she's doing... Again another craft project that will be unfinished for a year or so... I still want one of these
.. Seeing that I've wanted one for over a year.. I think that means I should get one.. Although I thought they were cheaper last year?? Could be wrong.. But I am seeing this in my downstairs area, with a hand sewn throw pillow ( which I will complete after my apron).. that is when my money tree sprouts an extra $349.00 for a chair that will never get used.... In the meantime.. I am dreading the fact that I decided to do this
... which has the joyful description of MAJOR hills in mile 3 and 12.. Just throw a damn hill in at mile 12.. that sound ohh so fun... Now that you have a glimpse into my fun night.. I am off to read a bit before I take my coveted Codine cough medicine.. and maybe have some nice dreams of him....

Well...let"s welcome 2009... And the fact that I haven't blogged since September!.. Why you ask?? I've been glued to Facebook.. So if you want an update on The Kimmell's on a  daily basis you can join facebook and maybe I will confirm you as a friend.. ( if you are nice to me ).. Anyhow.. It's a time for new beginnings..  I have a new fresh perspective of what I want to accomplish this year. I am trying not to stress the small stuff. And to set goals for the now as well as the big picture. I definitely believe that 2009 will be better than 2008. Not that we did not have good times.... but some refocusing is surely needed.. So that is my word for the new year "focus".. To put things in complete priority and put the  focus on  doing things to better ourselves and make life easier...
So here is to a New Year............... ( and I may just blog a bit more too.. maybe )
